TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.

SONG

Into my heart, into my heart. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Come in today, come in to stay. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus.

TEXT

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3 verse 20)

This is a wondrous invitation from the Heart of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Lord stands at the door of our hearts, seeking permission to enter.

He is ever patient, ever loving. He never forces Himself on anyone. Though our creator, yet He begs for permission to enter into our hearts. It's wonderful to have such a compassionate and loving Personality, who is comely in character and loves very dearly. He longs to share cordial fellowship with those who would heed His call.

If anyone can joyfully open the door of his or her heart and fully invite the Lord in, there would be a river of joy flowing with peace, filling every area of such a life. Such a heart would thereafter become a sanctuary, a holy dwelling where love abounds and grace flourishes.

Unfortunately, the reverse is the case! Many prefer to close the door of their hearts to the Lord, mounting up some barriers that keep the Lord from coming into their hearts. Whereas, as we open the doors of our hearts and allow Him to come in, the experience will be enormous.

The transformative relationship with the Master brings a radiant light upon our hearts and upon each day of our lives, illuminating the path of life before us, making every crooked way straight. His presence inspires us to walk in peace, in love, and to extend kindness even unto those who do not deserve it.

His presence also makes our souls find guidance in times of trouble, strength in weakness, and comfort in sorrow.

God is ever seeking to have a healthy relationship with us, His children. Let's take a look at the book Genesis 3 verses 8 to 9.

"And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD.... And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?"

The Bible says in verse 9, "And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?" This is to mean that God would always come into the garden to have fellowship with Adam and his wife Eve. He is ever seeking to have fellowship with us. Many times, we've failed Him in this regard.

Today is the day of salvation. Open up your heart unto the Lord! Don't harden your heart because tomorrow might be too late.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your love towards me. I yield up my heart unto You, come and take Your place in Jesus Mighty name
