THESE PEOPLE HAVE I FORMED FOR MYSELF (Part 2)

SONG

I will praise Him

I will praise Him

I will praise Him forever more

TEXT:

"But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” (Psalms 22 stanza 3).

Praising God is expected to be the duty of every believer; it is a way of expressing gratitude unto our Maker. Yes, it is our duty as Christians to praise God. Praising God may be some kind of pleasurable exercise, but it is the absolute obligation of every creature.

None of us who are God’s children can deny not having enjoyed some levels of God’s graciousness. God has demonstrated numerous levels of His love and kindness to everyone of His creatures. Since every one of us is a recipient of his grace, love, and mercy, we are bound to sing praise to Him at all times.

We may not have it stated authoritatively in Scriptures how many times, for instance, in a day we should sing songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

Nevertheless, it is good we cultivate the habit of praising God at all times, whether in the morning, daytime, or nighttime, lifting up our notes of thanksgiving unto Him because He's worthy of our praise. As the Bible says in Ephesians 5 verse 19, the way we do this is by "...singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"

Our verse for the day says, "God inhabitest the praises of Israel." Let us look at the Amplified Version of the book Psalm 22 stanza 3. It says, "But You are holy, O You Who dwell in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered]."

God takes pleasure in our praises and He dwells there. Let us make our environments and the places of our worship filled with praises. As we do so, God himself will hear from heaven and accept our sacrifice.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You clothe me with the garment of praise so that I can offer all that is due unto You, in Jesus Mighty name.
