THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." -1John.5.20
CHRISTMAS is not all about new clothes, rice and meat or going out with friends and families to feast and all sorts.
Rather, Christmas is all about God sending His Son to Earth. Christmas wasn’t man’s idea; it was God’s idea. Christmas wasn’t man’s initiative; it was God’s initiative. Christmas came about because of God.
Christmas is about the kingdom of God breaking into the kingdoms of men.
Jesus Christ was born so that we might experience a second birth; that we no longer be born of flesh and blood, but born of the Spirit of God. That is the message of Christmas, and it’s such an exciting message that's actually worth celebrating! You know, sometimes we get so caught up in what Christmas is, and we get so busy buying gifts and doing everything else.
But today, remember that Christ came that we might receive a second birth. The Son of God came that we might no longer be men and women of this world. He came that we might no longer be born into the carnality of this world but that we might take part in the divinity of God. That is why Christ's birth and consequently, Christmas is such a special season. Never before did men have that opportunity, but now we've got the opportunity to take part in the divinity of God! Hallelujah!
He did not come to merge with the world. He came to bring light to the dark places of the world! So also has He made us here on Earth. The Bible says that
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." - Matt.5.14 -
My prayer today is that we would not put a shade on the light of God, but that we would let it shine for all to see, so that all might know the glory of God!
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."- Matt.5.16
We can’t be ones that try to merge with the world. Light in a dark place is not meant to merge with darkness, it's meant to stand against the darkness, it’s meant to push back against the darkness, and it’s meant to disperse the darkness.
"And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." - John.1.5 -
Jesus came to establish His kingdom, and of His government, there will be no end! Hallelujah
PRAYER.
May I never take for granted the main reason for your coming. I receive grace to daily meditate on all you came to do for humanity, in the mighty name of Jesus.
