"And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master ... And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking." (Genesis chapter 24 verses 14 to 19)
One beautiful truth I would like us to know as children of God is that the providence of God overrules all odds and answers all things. It touches all circumstances without leaving anything out.
In the Scripture reading for today, the servant of Abraham prayed to God regarding the purpose of his journey and the God of providence brought Rebecca out of her father's house to carry out her normal duties in exact answer to the prayer of Abraham's servant. I believe Rebecca was not the only young girl in the land and Abraham servant was not the only man out there on the field, but in His Omniscience, the God of providence came through for the servant very wonderfully. The same God of providence who came through for these persons is coming through for someone reading this devotional this morning, in Jesus Mighty name.
The story of Mordecai is another example of God's divine providence.
"On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king...And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus..." (Esther 6 verses 1 to 3)
The Bible says that “that night the king could not sleep...” There were possibly many books on the king's shelves. But from the eternal point of view, God was the One who decided what book the king would call for as he could not sleep that night. One move of God in the life of His beloved one can change the course of history, the lives of individuals and the destiny of a nation. The divine providence of God brought about the deliverance of Mordecai and the entire nation of Israel. I prophesy that the providence of God is bringing around you this day, week, month and year whatever that you need to succeed and to be fulfilled in life, in Jesus name. This season, God is causing all things to work in your favor, in Jesus Mighty name.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for making the lines to fall unto me in pleasant places by the reason of Your providence in Jesus Mighty name.
