THE GRACE THAT BRINGS SALVATION
SONG
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God.
Oh, it chases me down, fight till I'm found, lives the nighty - nine
No shadow, you won't light up
Mountain, you won't climb up.
Coming after me
No wall, you won't tear down.
Lies, you won't tear down.
Coming after me.
TEXT
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men." Titus 2 verse 11.
The grace of our Lord is the unearned favor of God, showered upon all men, like the gentle rain upon the thirsty ground. It is an unmerited gift from God.
The Message Translation of today's Scripture reading says, "God’s readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation is ready for everyone."
The readiness of God to bestow His gifts and to forgive transgressions is indeed proof of His unfathomable love for humanity. His boundless grace and mercy are ever before us, like a wellspring of living water; that whosoever that thirsts can drink without money. Hallelujah!
It doesn't matter how unqualified you might think you are, God’s grace supersedes every error or failure in life. God is able to find you out in whatever state you might have found yourself, qualify you, and position you for His divine purpose.
Moses was born at a time of great peril. The decree of Pharaoh sought to extinguish the lives of the Hebrew children of Moses' days, yet the Hand of God was upon him, to preserve him for a mighty purpose. As the basket floated upon the waters, so too God’s plans concerning him unfolded. Moses was to lead His people out of bondage and into the Promised Land. In all, we see a reflection of divine protection upon Moses. All through the trials and tribulations that accompanied his destiny, God's grace and protection were eminent. God’s grace preserved Moses' destiny by tailoring it to the very end of his purpose in life.
Like Moses, we are children of destiny, graced with fruitfulness and victory. In Christ, we have our destinies preserved. No matter what happens around us, in Him we have been destined or programmed to overcome and to be successful. But this is so as long as we abide in Christ, even as Christ abides in us. The Bible says in the book of John 15 verse 5,
"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
Indeed, without Christ, we can do nothing. It's only in Him that we bear fruit and at the same time experience victory in life. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for Your grace that has found me and made me what I am today. May it continue to speak for me, in Jesus' Mighty name.
