THE EARLY AND THE LATTER RAIN (Part 3)

SONG:

It is raining, all around me,

I can feel it, the latter rain.

Ride on Jesus, give us more rain,

until we are soaked and until we are drowned with the latter rain.

TEXT

"And the LORD visited Hannah so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD." (First Samuel 2 verse 21)

Hannah was a woman of much sorrow. The Bible says that the Lord had shut up her womb and as such, she couldn't bear children. Besides, she had gone through enormous provocations from her mate in consequence thereof, such that she was in constant agony and sorrow.

In that state, I believe that so many questions would have gone through Hannah's mind; for instance, whether or not it was her past life that was responsible for her predicament. But our Scripture reading for today says

"And the LORD visited Hannah so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD." (First Samuel 2 verse 21)

Yes, the Lord in His mercy visited Hannah! This was in answer to her prayers. Hannah conceived and bore a son and named him Samuel, just as Eli, the man of God had prophesied. Later on in life, she had three sons and two daughters in addition. In line with the character of God towards His creatures, joy, rejoicing and celebrations were brought into the home and the family of Hannah. Hallelujah!

Your case might be like that of Hannah or probably different from hers. No matter the challenges you are in right now, there is good news for you and your family. The Lord Almighty is coming through for you, and you will joy, rejoice, and celebrate before the end of this year in Jesus' Mighty name.

God’s visitation to His children have always resulted in awesome experiences such as complete turnarounds and total break from past unpleasantness. When the Lord visited Sarah Abraham's wife, her story changed. The same was the case of Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist and Manoah's wife, the mother of Samson. In the same vein, when He visited Hannah, her story changed.

I prophesy this morning that the LORD is picking up the broken pieces of your life and He's rearranging and making them into a beautiful vessel, in Jesus name. Towards this end, He is rewriting the story of your life, and making it to be the epitome and embodiment of His glory, in Jesus' Mighty name.

Even as God did not allow Hannah’s prayers and waiting to be in vain, I can assure you that He’s not ignoring your prayers and your waiting upon Him, either. He is coming through for you soonest, in Jesus Mighty name.

PRAYER:

Dear Lord, thank You so much for reminding me today that You are not ignoring my prayers and waiting. Like Hannah, You hear every cry of my heart and You are coming through for me soonest, in Jesus Mighty name.
