THE ANSWER MAY DELAY, IT'S NEVER A DENIAL (PART 2)

SONG

Jesus never fails, Jesus never fails.

The man of the world may let you down but Jesus never fails.

TEXT

"Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick". - John.11.3

"Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already." - John.11.17.

Lazarus was a friend of Jesus. He loved him so dearly. There came a time when he was sick. A message was sent to Jesus that he was sick, and that He should come and  administer healing on him. The LORD delayed for a couple of days. The sickness resulted in death and burial. This act of Jesus was not out of wickedness or oversight or denial at all; rather, it was for the testimony to be fuller. Jesus in the first place, had earlier said  to His Disciples that the sickness was to the glory of God  "When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby." - John.11.4.

When He eventually showed up, the story changed and the glory was greater. Hallelujah!

That the answer to our request is delayed, is not to say that we did not ask in the right way or we are not qualified, neither is it a denial but for greater testimony in Jesus name.

This is not also to deny the fact that God loves and cares about us. At the same time, it does not reduce God from whom He is, either.

Lazarus rising up from death surpasses his being healed from sickness. The resurrection testimony was greater than merely being healed from sickness. Lazarus became a tourist attraction. The great things God is doing in your life will attract men and women from the nooks and crannies of the world, in Jesus Mighty name.

We'll be looking at another example in

Dan 3:23-26.

The three young Hebrew men  were faced with the challenges of their faith; it looked as though God was not concerned with what they were passing through. Eventually, they were thrown into the furnace of fire. It was at the point of an adversely crippled hope, that God showed up for their rescue. The testimony was also greater, in the sense that King Nebuchadnezzar was amazed by what he saw. He acknowledged the Sovereignty of the God of the Hebrew boys.

PRAYER

Father, I sincerely thank You, because You do not change. As You showed up for your people in the time of old, show up for me, in the Mighty name of Jesus.
