TEST OF FAITH IN A FAITHLESS WORLD.

SONG.

Upon the solid Rock I stand,

All other grounds are sinking sand,

and all other ground is sinking sand

TEXT

“When the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” (Luke 18:8 NLT)

We have just emerged from what was called a cashless economy in our county, Nigeria

It was not a palatable experience at all. People had money in their bank accounts but could not have access to it. Those who had access to money were extorting others.

The cashless economy brought about adjustment to the lifestyles of so many, and it also brought about a technological advancement in the economy at large. People were able to carry on transactions through online banking services.

In the same vein, we live in an increasingly faithless world. A world that is shifting values and growing in a manner that God is slightly held in contemplation. The question goes as follows:

If Jesus comes back today, how many people of faith would He find? And would you be one of them? Would I be one of them?

Sadly, faithful people who really trust God and live for Christ day in and day out are often hard to find.

Everyone talks about how loyal and faithful he or she is, but to find one who really is can be very difficult.

There are many things that the devil is doing in the world today, targeting the children of God in order to tempt their stand in Christ so that he would have strong bases to discredit their steadfastness. We have to be careful not to give up on God, not to also give in to the devil, because of tempting moments.

Let us remain steadfast in fellowship as the day is approaching. Let Jesus be our focus, and let nothing distract us, having Heaven as our focus.

"This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men." - Titus.3.8

Thanks be to God for the gift of His Son, who came and made away with our sins and imperfections and made us perfect and worthy to be called His own.

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." - John.16:33.

We do not have to give the enemy a foothold in our lives because Christ has done it all for us upon the Cross of Calvary. We are more than conquerors, He's made us overcomers and victors.

He also empowered us with the Holy Spirit to be His true witnesses.

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." - Acts.1.8.

All glory to His Holy Name for the strength to stand and remain faithful to Him in the midst of trials, tests and temptations.

PRAYER

Lord, I pray thanking You for keeping me steadfast for You in this faithless world, in Jesus' Mighty Name.
