REWARD AFTER STRUGGLES [Part 2]

SONG

My God is able, He's able. I know He's able, I know my God is able to carry me through.

TEXT

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." 1st Peter chapter 5 verse.10.

We were admonished in the first part of this message that we should "count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;" (James chapter 1 verses 2 to 4)

God is not trying to tell us to feel happy about our trials but that we should have confidence as we go through them. In other words, He is up to something better in our lives. Our attitude at this time in question will determine what shape we would be when we come out at the end of it all.

As Christians, we are made strong and firmly rooted by all the trials and storms of life. Therefore, we shouldn't shrink from the tempestuous winds of trial, but take comfort, believing that by the end of the whole school of training, we are coming out better than the way we went in. Hallelujah!

Our lack today does not spell our end, but it is serving as a preparation for our eventual wellbeing. Our being down today does not mean our end. Rather, it is the preparation for our up-liftment.

James 1 verse 3 says, "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."

When our faith is tested, we need to exercise patience, knowing full well that it will all work out for our good. This is what the Bible says in 1st Peter chapter1 verse 7:

"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:"

Someone has said that "To learn strong faith is to endure great trials. We learn faith by standing firm amid severe testings. This is very true. The time to trust is when all else fails."

Our God is not unjust, not unfaithful, not unkind or unmerciful to allow us to end up in shame. He is graciously coming through for us in all that we might be passing through and surely, He's bringing a permanent solution to all odds in Jesus' name.

PRAYER:

The good Lord is establishing my feet firmly upon the Rock. I am being crowned with honor, and l'm enjoying divine settlement in Jesus' Mighty name
