"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old." (Isaiah chapter 43 verse 18.)
Dwelling on the past is an evidence of faithlessness and unbelief and such can not yield any desirable results.
You need to delete from your mind many things about your past so that you can move forward and experience new things in life. The past is like a spilled milk or a broken egg which is good for nothing. It poses limitations on our path of progress, and it is also capable of keeping one from becoming a person of strong faith. Such can be unpleasing to God, because in the book of Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6 it's written,
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Are you born again? Being born again ushers you into a new and extraordinary life. A life of victory, a higher life, and a life of abundance. The Zoe life is what is inputted to them that are in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
The book 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come".
The degree to which you yield your life to Christ will determine the level of changes He will effect in your life.
Therefore let us put aside all the limitations and doubts that serve as hindrances to our progress and to approach God with all boldness and faith.
According to Hebrews chapter 4 verse 16, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
What is that situation you are going through this morning? Are you worried over what is happening around you, especially all that is happening in our country Nigeria? The Word of God urges you to come boldly unto the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy, and find grace in time of need. The answer to our problems can only be found in God, our Creator. We serve a God Who can do all things! He wants to do new things in your life this year and beyond. But He needs your cooperation before He can do it.
PRAYER
Thank You Heavenly Father for I know You have good plans for my future. I bless You for the performance of them all, in Jesus name.
