NEVER TOO LATE (Part 2).

SONG

Never fails me yet

Never fails me yet

Jesus Christ never fails me yet

There is one thing I know that wherever I go

Jesus Christ never fails me yet

TEXT:

"And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away ..." (Matthew 14 verse 22)

JESUS always comes to save at the nick of time. His love and care for humanity would not allow Him to overlook at the hour of peril. He will always come to save.

In today's reading,  while they were dealing with the frightening weather, Jesus was on the mountainside praying.

"But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the SEA" (Matthew 14 verses 24 to 25).

In the midst of the storm, perhaps the disciples thought Jesus had forgotten them. But it was just not possible for Him to have forgotten His own beloved disciples. They were His bosom friends.

"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee". (Isaiah 49 verse 15).

God has promised never to forget His own, though a woman may forget to give suck to her child. Truth is, God can never forget His own. Hallelujah 🙌

In regards to the story that is covered by the Scripture reading for today, the Lord Jesus knew exactly where the disciples were and what they were experiencing. His omnipresence enables Him to do this. God is everywhere.

"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea". (Matthew 14 verse 25)

Though we cannot see Jesus physically, His  Omniscience and Omnipresence enables Him to identify where we are at every moment of time and to know what we're going through. No darkness can hide us from Him; no trial can obscure His vision of us. We are always seen, known, and understood by Him.

Right at the mountainside, far away, Jesus knew what His disciples were going through. Leaving that place of prayer, Jesus sought out the disciples. In the same vein, Jesus knows your fears and your frailty and is  ever willing and ready to meet you at that very point of your need.

However, the Twelve didn't recognize Him because He went to them by walking on water, which was to them an unusual thing for anyone to do.

"And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear." ( Matthew 14 verse 26).

Jesus often does not come in the way that we expect. He may choose to come in the way we least expect of Him. Our own ideas of how He comes can make us lose sight of where He might be and what He's doing in our lives. In other words, this can blind us as regards how near He actually is to us.

It is a great thing to call to mind what it was when God did something different from the way we imagined. By doing so, we see His will unfold in surprising ways. Experiencing Jesus´ presence in hard times can teach us new ways to make our faith stronger than ever before.

PRAYER:

Thank You dear Heavenly Father, for I know You are always on time at every time and point I need You, in Jesus name. 🙏 🙏 🙏
