NEVER TOO LATE (Part 2)

SONG

Never fails me yet

Never fails me yet

Jesus Christ never fails me yet

There is one thing I know that wherever I go

Jesus Christ never fails me yet

TEXT

Matthew 14:22-23

"And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away." - Matt.14.22

JESUS will always come to save at the nick of time. His love and care for humanity would not allow Him to overlook at the hour of peril. He will always come to save.

In today's reading, while the disciples were dealing with the frightening weather, Jesus was on the mountainside praying.

" But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary." - Matt.14.24-25

In the midst of the storm, the disciples perhaps thought that Jesus had forgotten them. But it was just not possible for Him to have forgotten His own beloved disciples. They were His bosom friends.

"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee". - Isa.49.15.

God has promised never to forget His own; even if a woman forgets to give suck to her child, God can never forget us. Hallelujah 🙌

In the matter of the disciples in the storm, Jesus knew exactly where they were and what they were experiencing. He is not only Omnipresent, but also Omniscient and Omnipotent.

"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea". - Matt.14.25

Though we cannot see Jesus physically, He is Omnipresent; ie, He is with us and everywhere. Besides, He can identify where we are at every moment. No darkness can hide us from Him; no trial we experience and no distance can obscure His vision of us. We are always seen, known, and understood by Him.

Right at the mountainside, far away, He knew what His disciples were going through. Leaving that place of prayer, Jesus sought out the disciples. In the same vein, Jesus knows your fears, your frailty, your need and will reach out to meet with you at that very point of your need.

However, the disciples didn't recognize Him because He went to them by walking on the water.

"And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear." - Matt.14.26.

Jesus often does not come in the way that we expect. He may choose to come in the way we least expect. Our own ideas of how He comes can make us lose sight of where He might be and can blind us as to how near He actually is. In life, it is a great thing to remember what it was when God did something different from the way we imagined, seeing His will for us unfold in surprising ways. Experiencing Jesus´ presence in hard times can teach us new ways to make our faith stronger.

PRAYER

Thank you dear Heavenly Father, for I know you are always on time at every time and point I need you, in Jesus name. 🙏 🙏 🙏
