MOVE ON, GO FORWARD!
TEXT: Philippians 3:13-14
"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
In the midst of life's difficulties, problems or obstacles, what do you do? Do you retreat or move on?
Moving on is boldness! As a child of God, moving on depicts or shows your knowledge of who you are, that you are an overcomer! Don't ever consider retreat as an option in life! Your confidence in Christ Jesus and who you are in Him has a great recompense of reward (Hebrews 10:35), if you exercise it! It's settled that as a child of God, you can never be disadvantaged in the challenges of life, if you take your stand in Christ properly. The Bible enjoins us to be bold and never to fear. "And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God." - Phil 1:28. The righteous, we learn are bold as a lion - Prov 28:1. Making peace with the devil through compromise is death!
As a child of faith, your attitude should be "if l perish, l perish" (Esther 4:16); "though He slay me, yet will l trust Him" (Job 13:15); "l press toward the mark for the prize..." (Philippians 3:14).
Israel moved on in the face of the Egyptian opposition behind them, in spite of the Red Sea in front of them, and with the mountains at their sides. The Scriptures record that God took them to this dangerous situation Himself, to show forth His awesome power for all to see! (Exodus 13:21; 14:1-2). It was God Himself that instructed them to move on, despite the apparent opposition and obstacles (Exodus 14:15) The same command He gives to us now, move on, go forward! Don't let satan stop you. Victory is surely ahead if you dare to move forward. The obstacles you see are like the walls of Jericho that had no foundation. A little push onward will reveal the lie about their imposing and impossible posture!
God wants to show forth His glorious power through you! I counsel you never to retreat, but to move on with that vision. Has God laid in your heart to do something? Behold, He stands with you to accomplish it to His glory. Don't get intimidated by the fear of failure. To fail is pardonable, but not to try at all is unpardonable! I shall be among those that will rejoice with you soon. Congratulations in advance!
Have a blessed day.
