GOD'S PRESENCE IS REFRESHING (PART 2).

SONG

In Your presence, there is fullness of joy

At Your right hand, there are pleasure ever more

You surround us, with Your favor O' Lord.

The Earth is full of Your goodness. The Earth is full of Your love.

TEXT

. "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews.10 verse 25).

Our gathering in the sanctuary of faith is a sacred act, which is rich with meaning and purpose. It is like a flock of birds returning to their nest, where they find safety and warmth. In like manner, the presence of God is where we find succour, comfort and safety. God is ever looking forward to our coming to Him in fellowship. It does not only give Him joy, it also avails us the opportunity to experience Him. The Bible says in the Book of Psalms 16 stanza 11,

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

Therefore, in the gathering of believers, the weary soul finds rest, and the troubled in spirit discovers peace of mind.

To gather with fellow believers is to partake in divine communion, where the presence of God is made manifest among us. It is a time of joy and rejoicing, as well as a time of unity of purpose. At such gatherings, we  are reminded of our share in the love and truth that binds us together as children of God.

Our Scripture reading for today says, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews.10 verse 25.).

Our gathering together in fellowship serves to give access to the reservoir of God's comfort, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, power and glory. At a time like this, God's presence serves to minister hope, peace and comfort in the face of the debilitating moments of our age. It's a place where we learn more about God. This results in illuminating our paths with the light of God's Word. Just as the lamp guides the way in darkness, so does His Word. It guides us through the trials of life. This is expressly stated in the book of Psalm 119 stanza 105, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

The Word of God indeed guides us through the known and the unknown as we yield ourselves unto it for help.

PRAYER:

Thank You Heavenly Father, for your presence which gives me joy, rejoicing and satisfaction, in Jesus' Mighty name 🙏
