GOD KNOWS YOU!

TEXT:

"O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me." (Psalms 139 stanza 1, King James Version).

The way some of us live our lives suggests that God doesn't see us, let alone know us. This is sheer ignorance. How do you think of the Omniscient God in that light?  Reading through Psalms 139, the Lord is presented as the all-knowing God, with nothing kept away from Him about us. This, the Psalmist knows full well that he begins, concluding without doubt saying, "O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me."

It's therefore ridiculous to suppose that you can live your life outside the glare of the Lord. According to the Psalmist, He's not only acquainted with all our ways, there's actually not a word in our tongues that He doesn't know. The Psalmist further alludes to God's Omnipresence by asking,

"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?" (Psalms 139 stanza 7).

With this God to whom darkness is as light, we ought to be extra careful with regards to how we live our lives.

"Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee." (Psalms 139 stanza 12). He doesn't only see us, He knows us intimately as well. Let's ensure that we live our lives in truth and in spirit.

According to the Scriptures, man's heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it? Yet, the Bible warns us saying,

"Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows."(Galatians chapter 6 verse 7, Complete Jewish Bible). That's to say in other words that there's nothing about us that is hidden from the Lord and that He rewards us accordingly. It's all about God's Omniscience which enables Him to know all things.

In John chapter 1 verse 47,

Jesus saw Nathanael and gave an accurate knowledge of his person.  In another case, the Bible says that Jesus had known that the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda had been in that condition for a long while (John chapter 5 verse 6). In Zacchaeus' case, no one told the Lord Jesus that he was on the sycamore tree and that he had "sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature." (Luke chapter 19 verse 3).

Dearly beloved, God knows you. Like the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda, He knows what you are going through in life. Do not think that He has forgotten about you. He's showing up for you now, in Jesus name.

PRAYER:

Father, I'm glad that You know me and what I'm going through in life. Thank You for changing my testimony, in Jesus name.
