GOD IS GOOD TO ALL

SONG

He loves me, oh!

I can not say why

He died on the Cross, just for you and me

He gave His own Life as a ransom for many

He loves me, oh!

I can not say why

TEXT

"The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works." (Psalm 145 stanza 9).

I would like us to reflect upon the moments of grace that we have enjoyed in the time past and even now. We will see that in many ways, God has adorned our lives with many great and wonderful blessings.  No doubt, we might have felt the warmth of His embrace in kindness, in love, in provision, to mention but a few. Perhaps we also have seen the beauty of the firmament and the glory of God's creation around us. The sun rises and shines every morning giving the day a radiant and beautiful look. The moon on its part shines through the night giving it an adorable atmosphere to behold.

Other evidence of God's love and magnificence abound. For instance, consider the Lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin, yet they are clothed in splendor.

The graciousness of the Lord is as manifold as the stars in the heavens and as the sand by the sea shore. The Psalmist, in today's Scripture reading categorically states that "The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works." (Psalm 145 stanza 9).

This is to mean that God does not discriminate between one and the other. The Book of Romans 2 verse 11 says, "For there is no respect of persons with God."

God’s goodness reaches unto all of His creation. He is good to the rich and to the poor alike; to the young and the old, to the white as well as the coloured, etc. He gives rain to the ground of the good as well as to the ground of bad (Matthew 5 verse 45).

Indeed, God’s tender mercies, when viewed through the lenses of faith, are overwhelming.  He is working daily in our lives to the end that He makes the best out of us. Luke.1 verse 78 says, "Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us]" (Amplified Version)

As the potter moulds the clay, so  does our Heavenly Father,  that we might attain the full purpose for our creation. His mercies and love are working things out for your good this new year and beyond, in Jesus Mighty name

PRAYER

Thank You Heavenly Father for Your goodness and mercy to me. They are everlasting, in Jesus' Mighty name.
