GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME; HE CAN'T DO THE WRONG. (Part 2)

SONG

Omemma, You're always on time

You can't do no wrong. Omemma,

Leaves the ninety-nine, always follows one,

Omemma, You're always on time

You can't do no wrong.

TEXT:

"When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was." (John.11 very 6).

God can never be too late or too early. He's always at the nick of time!

When Lazarus was sick, the Bible tells us in the Gospel of John that Jesus was sent for and that He tarried two days longer in the place where He was (see John 11 verse 6). Yet, in His divine wisdom, He knew that His delay was not going to be detrimental. Rather, it was that the glory of God would be served through the resurrection of Lazarus. This also serves to reveal His power over death itself. The matter of Lazarus' sickness was so pressing, yet Jesus did not show up at the time expected, but when He eventually showed up, the story changed for the better.

Is there any pressing issue in your life at the moment that needs urgent attention? Is there anything you are believing in God for, and you think that He's delaying? I tell you the truth and I lie not, that there must be a purpose for His delay. God might be trying to test your strength and/or your faith. Jesus' delay in the matter of Lazarus was that the Lord might be glorified. It might also be the same with your case. Usually, we do not have the knowledge of the big picture He's painting behind the scenes. God had often used some trying moments to test the faith of those who, in the long run, witnessed His miraculous act.

When we reflect upon our own journeys of life, we would discover that there had been some daring and frightening moments that we were called to trust in God’s faithfulness. I've discovered that it's usually our moments of waiting that refine our faith.

The common plight of human beings is to feel the weight of waiting. We may naturally feel that the heavens are silent over our plights and requests. Like the psalmist, he cried out in the book of Psalm 13 stanza 1, saying, “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?"

At times, our waiting may be a season of preparation and the maturing of our faith in the Lord. God might also be teaching us some lessons at the times of waiting. Those moments might be times for the Lord to cultivate our hearts and fortify our spirits before the answer to the request comes. This usually serves as an opportunity to draw closer to God, to seek His will, and to deepen our faith in Him.

Let's consider the parable of the farmer who plants seeds in the ground. He knows not how, or when, the seed will sprout, but he waits with patience, believing that there will ultimately be a harvest. Therefore, the beauty of our lives lies in the ability to wait on the Lord until He shows up. What's more, He makes all things beautiful at His time!

PRAYER:

Thank You my Heavenly Father, because I know that my waiting is bringing out the best in me and You are coming through for me beautifully in the end, in Jesus' Mighty name.
