GOD IS ABLE TO RESTORE THE YEARS (PART 2)
SONG
Jesus never fails, Jesus never fails.
The men of the world may let you down, but Jesus never fails.
TEXT
"And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:" - Romans chapter.4 verse19 .
Everyone of us desires God’s help in redeeming our times and restoring the years the “locusts have eaten.” We can do this by bringing all the difficulties or hard circumstances we’ve faced before Him, believing that He is able to resolve them all.
It's only God that brings hope and fulfillment of destiny. Therefore, let us choose to focus on Him for all the blessings that He brings us from our struggles. He is able to turn things around to work in our favor and for His greater glory.
We learn from the story of Abraham, the father of faith, that he went through a lot before his hope became a reality. He probably had experienced some years being eaten by "the locust ... cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, ..." (Joel chapter 2 verses 25 to 27).
In Genesis chapter 21 verse 5, the Bible records of Abraham thus:
"And Abraham was an hundred years old when his son Isaac was born unto him."
Abraham had to be brought to the end of his own strength and to a point that his body could do nothing. His body was considered as good as dead. His matter was beyond human intervention; only God could resolve such cases. When Abraham looked away from himself and trusted God alone, then the picture became clearer to him that, what God had promised, He was able to perform.
That is exactly what God wants us to do. Most times, He keeps away the big picture until we learn to trust Him, and then He makes His Word real and His intentions bare to us. God alone is our hope Giver, Restorer, Redeemer, Healer, Friend, and much more.
The good news for someone reading the devotional this morning is that whatever God has promised to do in your life or this year, He is able to perform, in Jesus' name. God is able to restore all that’s been stolen by the enemy, in Jesus name.
In Job chapter 23 verse 10, we understand that God knows all about us and wills to give us a beautiful ending.
"But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."
There’s a new season up ahead. Don’t give up. The God who woke you up this morning has not finished with you yet. There’s so much good in store for you. Believe me and you'll see it in Jesus' name.
PRAYER
Thank You Heavenly Father for turning every loss or delay in my life into miracles and testimonies, in Jesus' Mighty name.
