TEXT

"And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large." (Mark 16 verses 3 to 4).

Are you reading the devotional this morning and wondering how to resolve the challenges that are before you?

What stones are they that lay heavily upon your heart? What burdens are you carrying that seem insurmountable?

Indeed, there are many challenges that come our way on a daily basis that need immediate response and solution. Truth is that we may not have a ready answer to every question and the solution to every problem. But God is the only One that has the insight to every problem and the ability to resolve them.

If only we can look up to Him, Who is seated on His Heavenly Throne, waiting and ready to render help to anyone that will ask for it. With God for us, we never need to worry and wear ourselves out. Like the disciples who were at the tomb of the Lord Jesus on the resurrection morning, all we need to do is to look up. We do not need to look down for help. Our help will ever and always come from above (Psalms 121 verses 1 to 2).

Our Scripture reading this morning says, "And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large." (Mark 16 verses 3 to 4). There must be a reason why the Bible categorically mentions that the women looked up. This is to mean that the women never depended on the soldiers that were guiding the tomb or anybody for that matter for help. Rather, they looked up to God for help. As they did so, "they saw that the stone had been rolled back". The moment they saw what happened, their joy and hope were rekindled. The stone, a very large one which seemed insurmountable, was miraculously removed from the month of the tomb.

Whatever the burden you are carrying, whatever the insurmountable hindrances that are before you, the question that is begging for an answer this morning is: have you looked up to God? Like the women disciples in the story of the Lord's resurrection, could it be that your problem has been rolled away and yet, you don't know it because you have not looked up?

Rather than wearing yourself out with care and anxiety, why don't you look up to God? Don't you realize that God cares about you? Has He not asked you to cast all your care upon Him because He cares for you? (1st Peter 5 verse 7).

That being the case, why are you delaying to act on God's Word unto you? Come unto Jesus today and experience God's rest. He is the Resurrection and Life. He will roll  away every stone in your life. It doesn't matter how large or for how long it has existed. Jesus is able to give you the deliverance and the peace that you have so longed to see in your life. Perhaps, your problem has been rolled away, and yet, you don't know it because you have not looked up to God. The truth is that it's only in the light of God's Word that we discover what has been done for us in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your unmatched power that has rolled away every mountain around me and has given me victory in life, in Jesus Mighty name
