CHANGE IS POSSIBLE (Part 2)
SONG
He loves me O.
I can not say why
He died on the Cross
Just for you and me
He gave His own life as a ransom for many
He loves me O.
I can not say why.
TEXT
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans chapter 3 verses 23)
Everyone born, or that will ever be born of a woman has a problem with sin. This is as a result of our Adamic nature. But the good news is that God has provided an answer to our dilemma.
God's love and the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross is what has brought about the much desired change in our lives. It's great to have this understanding!
Our Scripture verse today says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" The Message Bible translation renders verses 23 to 24 of Romans 3 as follows:,
"God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ."
It says that God, out of His generosity got us out of the mess we're in and put us in right standing with Himself. Hallelujah! God, by doing so, has virtually changed our position from death unto life, our destination from hell unto Heaven. Christ took away the sin(s), the shame, and the problems of the entire world and nailed them to His Cross.
This phenomenon is a game changer. The Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary did not only completely remove our sins, it also did serve to deliver us from God's impending wrath. Then came reconciliation and the restoration of the relationship between man and his Maker.
The book of Hebrews chapter 7 verse 25 confirms this saying,
"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."
The Bible is very clear about what the Sacrifice of the Lord Jesus has accomplished for us. In consequence thereof, anyone who receives Him as Lord and Savior has completely passed from death to life (1st John 3 verse 14).
This total change of position is as a result of what Christ did on the Cross for us. This is our new estate. Praise the Lord! When we have this understanding our hearts will rejoice and our hope will be built up.
PRAYER:
Thank You Heavenly Father for the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. This has accorded me the privilege to experience a complete change from death unto life and to be found in a new estate, in Jesus' Mighty name.
