ARE YOU PLANTED IN HIS HOUSE?

"Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;" - Psalm 92:13-14

The House of God is a place of fellowship not only with ourselves, but with the Lord Himself. In my few years of walk with the Lord, l've come to know that the Church is far beyond what we think it to be (See 1 Timothy 3:15). It is God's temple (Ephesians 2:21-22) Erroneously, some take the Church simply to be a gathering of people. With this faulty mindset of the Church, they walk in and out of same without any commitments. They attend Church when it is convenient to them. For the number of years they've been in the Church, they remain babes, not baptized in water, not filled with the Holy Ghost, have no personal encounters with the Lord, don't have financial commitments toward the Church (tithes, first fruit, offering, etc.), go to Church only on Sundays or whenever it's convenient to do so, do not belong to Church departments that fits their status in life, don't want to do any service in the Church for the Lord, unstable in their ways, moving from one Church to the other, in quest of a  "perfect Church", ever complaining of one thing or the other, etc.

Friend, if your way of life falls into any of these or another, repent please! Allow God to 'plant' you in His house. Psalm 92:13-14, our text for the day says it all about those planted in the house of the LORD. The blessings that follow them that are thus planted are borne out of a continuous communion with Him. The Scripture says that they "… shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;" (Psalm 92:13-14).

It has been said that "fellowship with the stem begets fertility in the branches". Jesus said in John 15:4-6 "Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the Vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in Me...". So therefore, Church fellowship or communion is very vital to our total well being.

Permit me to say this before l close this sermon: 'You cannot desire to go to heaven and choose to hate Church fellowship here on earth'. IMPOSSIBLE! In other words, if you don't love Church fellowship, how do you make heaven? Don't you understand that the Church is 'heaven on earth' and that at rapture, the Church (true members of the body of Christ) is to be translated to heaven? Don't you know also, that in Church we practice, beforehand, all we'll be doing in heaven (praises, worship and adoration of His Majesty)? So therefore, it follows that if you're not comfortable with all of Church paraphernalia, you'll also not be comfortable in heaven (lets assume you ever get there in the first place) Psalm 122:1 says "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD." Friend, take another look at Psalm 92:13-14, our text for the day; l pray that  you be thus blessed for being planted in the house of the LORD. SHALOM!

PRAYER:

Dearest Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege to fellowship with You and the brethren. As I do so, and by Your power, I'm planted in the house of the LORD; l flourish in the courts of our God and I still bring forth fruit in old age with fatness in Jesus' mighty name.
