The blood of Jesus sets me free.

From sin and sorrow,

the blood of Jesus sets me free.

TEXT

In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve. - Jer 50:20

What a wonderful pardon is here promised to the sinful souls and nations of Israel and Judah from a merciful God. Sin was to be so removed that it would not be found, so blotted out that there would be none left. Glory be unto the God of mercy that pardons sin in such a manner!

God has from inception made provisions for the remission of the sins of humanity. The sacrifice of Jesus did it for all humanity, but only them that receive Him as Lord and Savior enjoy the benefits.

As His people, the Lord has caused our sins to be forgiven and forgotten, never to be remembered by Him. He did this by the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ who finished our transgression and made an end of sin. When the precious blood of Jesus is applied, we fear no more accusation or condemnation; though Satan as the accuser of the brethren seeks out our sins to lay them to our charge.

Sometimes, our consciences are often filled with guilt and condemnation. But our God in His infinite mercy pardons us and gives us new lives. It's in line with this that the Bible says that "the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve." - Jer 50:20

Truth is, where there's complete pardon, there ought not to be condemnation. The Lord holds no charge of any sin against us because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Hence the Bible says in the book of Rom.8.1 -2 that "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

The Bible is very clear about it

that those who have accepted the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior have passed from judgment unto freedom, from death unto life. This total change of position is as a result of what Christ did on the cross. This is our new estate. Praise the Lord!
